Social Meetings
The Hometowner’s Club gathers bimonthly for a delicious lunch and a well-planned program on a wide range of topics. The programs include musical entertainment, guest speakers on financial topics, arts and crafts, and more! The Hometowner’s Club’s various activities are also scheduled and planned at these meetings.

- January 7, 2025 – 10:00 AM: Canceled due to inclement weather.
- March 12, 2025 – 10:00 AM: Hillcrest Banking Center. TCB will provide soups and drinks. Desserts are welcome!
- May 14, 2025 – 11:00 AM: Freeman Lake Park, Searle Pavilion, 240 Freeman Lake Park Rd. TCB will provide meat and drinks. Vegetables, salads, and desserts are welcome!
- July 9, 2025 – 10:00 AM: Hillcrest Banking Center. TCB will provide sandwiches and chips. Desserts are welcome!
- September 11, 2025 – 4:00 PM: Freeman Lake Park, Searle Pavilion, 240 Freeman Lake Park Rd. TCB will provide meat and drinks. Vegetables, salads, and desserts are welcome!
- November 12, 2025 – 10:00 AM: Hillcrest Banking Center. Check back for more information.
REMINDER: If Hardin County Schools close because of inclement weather, the Hometowner’s Club meeting will also be canceled.
2025 Hometowner’s Club Trips & Events
- PIGEON FORGE, TN – DOLLYWOOD & DreamMORE RESORT – Tuesday, April 22 through Thursday, April 24, 2025: Calling all Dolly Parton fans! Experience the magic of her world with a delightful two-night stay at the DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This place embodies Dolly’s cherished values of storytelling and the importance of family. Begin your adventure with an exhilarating evening at the Dolly Stampede, where you’ll witness captivating horse-riding stunts, mesmerizing special effects, and uplifting music, all while savoring a mouthwatering four-course feast that will tantalize your taste buds! Start your Wednesday morning with a delicious breakfast treat at Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery, with a delightful array of Southern-inspired dishes. Afterward, head to Dollywood Theme Park to immerse yourself in the vibrant Flower & Food Festival. This stunning event features breathtaking spring blooms and an array of unique culinary creations celebrating the season. Conveniently, a shuttle runs continuously from the resort to the park, and as a special treat, you’ll receive a $20 food voucher to use during your time at Dollywood. After another hearty breakfast on Thursday, we will visit the Titanic Museum. Here, you can explore fascinating artifacts, walk the breathtaking replica of the Grand Staircase, and even learn how to send an SOS distress signal, immersing yourself in the rich history of the ill-fated ship. To wrap up this unforgettable trip, we’ll enjoy lunch at Wood Grill Buffet before making our way home, filled with cherished memories. The cost is Single $1,025 per person; Double $825 per person; Triple $805 per person; and Quad $785 per person. A $200 per person deposit is due at the time of reservation. The final payment is due March 23, 2025. The bus will leave the Elizabethtown Towne Mall at 8:00 AM EST on April 22 and return around 4:30 PM EST on April 24.
- LOUISVILLE, KY – CHURCHILL DOWNS – Friday, May 23, 2025: Don your finest betting hats and elegant bow ties as we set out for an exciting day at the renowned Churchill Downs! Join us for an exhilarating afternoon filled with live horse racing, where you can feel the thrill of the crowd as majestic Thoroughbreds thunder down the track. We’ll also have the opportunity to explore the fascinating Kentucky Derby Museum, which is rich in the history and tradition of the Kentucky Derby. As we meander through the stunning historic grounds on a guided tour, you’ll be captivated by the charm and beauty of this world-famous, legendary venue. To top it all off, indulge in a lavish buffet lunch on the exclusive Millionaire’s Row, where you can savor delicious dishes while enjoying picturesque views of the races. - SHIPSHEWANA, IN – Tuesday, June 10 through Thursday, June 12, 2025: Join us for an exciting two-night getaway at the charming Farmstead Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. Our adventure begins on the first night with a delightful buffet dinner at the renowned Blue Gate Restaurant, where you can savor various delicious dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere. After our meal, we’ll take our seats for an enchanting performance titled “Salute to the Stars,” a tribute show celebrating the legendary talents of Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Elvis Presley. The show will immerse you in the music and nostalgia of these iconic artists in an unforgettable evening of entertainment. We’ll rise to a hearty breakfast on Wednesday morning to fuel our day before heading to the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market. From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you’ll have the chance to explore a vast array of unique vendors, hunt for treasures, and find that perfect item you’ve been searching for. Lunch will be on your own, allowing you to discover local eats while browsing. After a day of shopping and exploration, we’ll gather for a delicious dinner to share our findings and experiences. - NASHVILLE, TN – THE GRAND OLE OPRY – Friday, July 18 through Saturday, July 19: **Tennessee Adventure!** Our exciting journey begins as we head south, where we’ll check into the inviting Drury Inn. This cozy retreat offers a warm ambiance, allowing us to unwind and recharge before an adventure-filled evening. As the sun sets and the sky transitions to shades of twilight, we’ll indulge in a fantastic dinner at the Santa Fe Cattle Company. Here, you can savor mouthwatering steaks alongside various Southern-inspired dishes that promise to delight and tantalize your taste buds. After our satisfying meal, we’ll make our way to the legendary Grand Ole Opry. - CHARLESTON, SC – Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 22, 2025: Our adventure begins as we set off for the charming town of Madison, Georgia. We’ll soak in the picturesque landscapes and historic architecture as we arrive before settling in for a restful overnight stay. The following day, we’ll continue our journey to the enchanting city of Charleston, South Carolina. We’ll immerse ourselves in the rich history and stunning architecture during a guided historical tour. As the sun sets, we’ll indulge in a mouthwatering seafood dinner at the renowned Charleston Crab House, savoring the flavors of the Lowcountry. On Day 3, we’ll visit the beautifully breathtaking Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. As we wander through these lush grounds, we’ll be captivated by the vibrant blooms and serene landscapes that have inspired countless visitors. Later, we’ll embark on the Spirit of Carolina Dinner Cruise. Enjoy a delightful evening on the water, complete with delicious food and breathtaking views of the city skyline at twilight.
